Horse Opera Productions receives $10,000 cash grant from Guam Humanities Council
October 5, 2002
Horse Opera Productions is delighted to announce that The Insular Empire has received a $10,000 cash grant from the Guam Humanities Council. Thanks to their generous support of the project, we will be able to move forward on the Guam segment of this important documentary.
The GHC award will enable the Horse Opera production team to travel to Guam for a two-week period in the winter of 2002. It will cover the costs of accommodations, crew, and production equipment and supplies.
We would like to warmly thank Dr. Larry Cunningham and Maria Yatar MacDonald, our local Project Director and Fiscal Agent on Guam, respectively, as well as Cheryl Cunningham (our Guam-based email guru). We would also like to thank Sarah Thomoas Nededog, program officer for the Guam Humanities Council, who patiently helped us navigate through the application process. The award of this grant would not have been possible without the hard work, commitment, and trust of everyone involved.
